Support for the Homeless, Sight Impaired & Limbless Service Personnel
Lions Clubs of the British Isles and Ireland are committed to raising £100,000 to be used to facilitate the completion of the building work required to refurbish three disused outbuildings at the Blind Veterans UK Centre (BVUK) at Llandudno.
We need your support to help us raise the funds as soon as possible.
Support Your Local Lions Club
Lions Clubs across the British Isles and Ireland help local communities in a variety of ways. They provide vital support in towns, villages and cities near you. Lions also work with hospitals, schools and community centres.
In areas hit by disasters and where people need us, Lions can be found helping, leading, planning and supporting. Our general fund enables us to provide assistance where we are needed and we are asking for your help to build support for your community.
help city children stay healthy and happy
We need to raise funds for the Healthy Schools London programme which was launched in May 2013, through the initiative of the Mayor of London. It sets out to help city children stay healthy and happy as they grow up.
The programme encourages schools to teach children about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle – to make healthy food choices at lunchtime, to be active at and on the way to school. The funds we raise ensure the right resources are available to participating schools.
Night Flying Appeal
The Battle Against Blood Cancer
With your support the Lions International Blood Research Appeal (LIBRA) currently aims to raise more than £200,000 for the Haematology Department at King’s College Hospital in London.
The funds raised through this major Lions project will ensure that the haematology team can develop several laboratories where they will go on to create new and improved treatments for patients with a variety of blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Making a difference at home
The Lions Community Disaster Fund has been established so that Lions can act quickly when disasters occur within England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Funds raised will be used to help us provide the right kind of support to those in need. Over the years we have assisted with many community disasters and most recently we helped to provide relief to victims of the winter floods.
Supporting the futures for children today
Through our fundraising efforts we can help to provide lifeskills based education initiatives and resources for those working with children and young people from the ages of 3 to 19 years.
In 2012 the Lions Clubs of British Isles and Ireland were successful in acquiring the stock of publications, the publishing rights and the intellectual
property of the Teacher’s Advisory Council on Alcohol and Drug Education (Tacade).

Help Make This Event Spectacular
The Special Olympics National Summer Games is set to be held in Sheffield between the 7th and 12th August 2017 and we need donations of many kinds to ensure it is a success.
