Support for the Homeless, Sight Impaired & Limbless Service Personnel

Blind Veterans UK and BLESMASupport for the Homeless, Sight Impaired & Limbless Service Personnel

Lions Clubs of the British Isles and Ireland are committed to raising £100,000 to be used to facilitate the completion of the building work required to refurbish three disused outbuildings at the Blind Veterans UK Centre (BVUK) at Llandudno. We need your support to help us raise the funds as soon as possible.

This is a major project, being set up by Blind Veterans UK and BLESMA - The Limbless Veterans. It is ultimately designed to provide rehabilitation training for our current and ex-service personnel whose lives have been immeasurably altered, indeed shattered, whilst they were protecting our safety. Please help us to show our appreciation for their sacrifices by fulfilling our goal of raising the target amount so that our disabled current and ex-service men and women are able to access a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Complex that will provide essential services to improve the quality of their lives.

When completed this complex will be used to provide Life Skills for Independent Living - a tailored programme of counselling and training in purpose-built accommodation for those younger veterans needing this vital support - not only for the veterans served by Blind Veterans UK itself but also those served by BLESMA - The Limbless Veterans. Any surplus funds raised through this campaign will benefit another Lions project, ensuring your donation is put to good use.
